I ordered this Soneven Womens Tennis Dress Sleeveless Golf Dresses with Shorts and Pockets Ruffle Sleeve Workout Athletic dress to wear this spring and summer.
I wanted something I could wear for tennis or a workout, but that was modest enough to wear while running errands, maybe with a cotton cardigan thrown over the top. Some of the newer cuts in tennis dresses are a bit too short for my taste, but this one looked like a good length, and it came with matching shorts.
I really liked the print, a pink and blue argyle, as well as the cut, what looked like a figure-skimming polo-style dress. I had high hopes for this dress, it looked so cute in the photos.
I ordered a L. I’m short, not quite 5’3”. I have an hourglass figure, curvy up top, small waist. I wear a 6 in skirts and jeans, and a M in a stretchy tee. In dresses, I often order up, to make sure the top fits.
As it turns out, the L was too big for me. However, even though there was tons of extra room in the dress and shorts, the fabric was super clingy.
The dress wasn’t too tight, it was loose. But the fabric stuck to me like it was wet, or super staticky. I know I’m busty, but I try to downplay it. This made me look even bigger.
I don’t have a huge stomach, but with this clinging to it, it looked bigger, too.
I’m so disappointed, this looked like it would be a really cute dress. There’s a lot of things about it I like. Th skirt length is flattering. The zip neck allows me to open or close the neck as I need. The pink color is adorable, and I love the argyle design.
But this is not the dress for me.
On another figure, this might look really great. But it did my figure no favors.
This is made of polyester and elastane. I’m not sure what elastane is, or if it is why the dress is so clingy.
I gave this four stars. The skirt length is nice, the matching shorts are comfortable. The pattern is cute. But the fabric just wants to stick tightly to my body, and that is very much not my style. If this hadn’t clung so tightly, I would have given it the full five stars.
